About Me.
I can recall creating art as far back as I can remember. Most of my work is done in acrylic and pastel. While I occasionally create works of realism, I derive the most artistic satisfaction from my mixed-media paintings. I would describe my paintings as an expression of surrealism. When I create a painting, I begin with a cutout figure. I examine all the paint and materials at my disposal and try to immerse myself in the figure. What colors are they wearing? What would their environment look like? This allows me to choose my colors, patterns, and textures.

Art has always served as a form of escape and dissociation for me. There is a profound sense of quiet and peace when I paint, as if nothing can touch me. During that time, I experience no racing thoughts, no anxieties, no future—just a bubble of brushes and paint. I aim to convey that same feeling of emptiness and tranquility to the subjects in my paintings, as if the unconscious mind exists in spite of the conscious mind. The colors and waves of potential thoughts that have yet to exist create a sense of calm, contrary to the surrounding universe.
